Short answer: add https://stilldock.com/mcp as an MCP server in ChatGPT, Codex or Cursor, sign in with your Still Dock email and press Allow.
Then say "lock my Dock" and your Mac does it. It needs Still Dock Pro on a Mac that is running Still Dock.
The plugin gives your assistant three tools: read which locks are on, switch a lock on, and switch a lock off. It can reach six locks: size, position, hide and show, contents, one display, and Stop Cmd Q quitting. Cmd W and Cmd Tab protection are not part of it, the same as on the iPhone app.
You can ask in plain words: "Lock my Dock's size", "Turn off the position lock on my MacBook", "Which locks are on?"
The quickest way is the one-click link. It opens Cursor and asks to install the server:
cursor://anysphere.cursor-deeplink/mcp/install?name=still-dock&config=eyJ1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL3N0aWxsZG9jay5jb20vbWNwIn0=
Or paste this into ~/.cursor/mcp.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"still-dock": {
"url": "https://stilldock.com/mcp"
}
}
}
Add Still Dock as an MCP server, which ChatGPT calls a custom connector, and give it the address https://stilldock.com/mcp. Choose sign in with OAuth when asked. Codex reads the same address from its MCP server settings.
The first time, the assistant opens the Still Dock sign-in page in your browser. Enter the email you purchased with, type the code we send, and press Allow. The assistant gets a sign-in that lasts an hour and renews itself for 60 days. Cancel your plan or sign out and access stops at once, because every request checks your plan again.
While a Mac is signed in with Pro, it keeps one connection open to stilldock.com. Your assistant's request goes down that connection and the Mac applies it through the same checks as its menu and the iPhone app. If you require Touch ID or a password before anything is switched off, the Mac still asks for it. Nothing is polled, and no Dock settings are sent anywhere.
The connection carries your Mac's name, which locks are on, and the requests. That is all. It is listed in the privacy policy.
Not yet. Until it is, add it by address as above.
Yes, as long as the Mac is signed in to Still Dock with the email your Pro belongs to. One purchase covers both versions.
The assistant says it cannot reach the Mac. Wake the Mac or open Still Dock and ask again.
If you have Touch ID or password approval switched on, turning a lock off waits for you at the Mac. The assistant only sees the answer.
