The short version. Pay monthly, yearly, or once for good. Try it free for 7 days first. Use it on your own Macs, don't resell it, and it restores your Dock when you remove it.
The rest of this page is the same thing said carefully.
These terms are an agreement between you and Little Bird Trading LLC ("we", "us"), covering the Still Dock application and the stilldock.com website. By downloading, buying or using Still Dock, you accept them. If you don't accept them, don't use the app.
Still Dock is a macOS menu bar utility that prevents your Dock's size, position, hide-and-show behaviour and contents from being changed. It is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, authorised by, or endorsed by Apple Inc. "Mac", "macOS" and "Dock" are trademarks of Apple Inc.
When you buy Still Dock we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use it on Macs that you own or control, for as long as these terms are kept.
Up to five Macs. Signing in to your purchase is limited to five Macs at a time, which is meant to cover every machine one person realistically uses rather than an office. A Mac that stops checking in frees its place automatically after 60 days, so replacing a machine costs you nothing and needs no email to us. If you need more, write to hello@littlebirdtrading.com and we will sort something out.
One purchase covers both versions. Buy through the Mac App Store or directly from us, whichever you prefer, and you may use either build, or both, on the Macs you own or control. There is no key to enter and nothing to transfer.
You may not:
We keep all rights not expressly granted here. You own your data and settings; we own the app.
Still Dock comes in a direct download and a Mac App Store version, and they are not identical. Apple's rules for App Store apps mean that version cannot lock the Dock's contents, cannot grey out the setting in System Settings, cannot save profiles, and cannot lock permanently. It asks for no permissions at all; the direct download needs Accessibility for keeping the Dock on one display and for its ⌘Q and ⌘W protection, and both are opt-in. The comparison table on the home page is the current statement of what each one does.
Mac App Store purchases are made from Apple, not from us, and are additionally governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement and the App Store Terms of Service. Where those terms conflict with these, Apple's terms govern that purchase. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, under Apple's policy. We cannot issue them.
Still Dock is sold three ways on each channel: monthly, annual, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Current prices are on the pricing page.
Still Dock begins with a 7-day free trial. It starts when you first install Still Dock, not when you buy, and it is the full app rather than a limited version. Every lock works. Nothing is charged during it and no card is required. When it ends the locks stop working until you buy a plan; nothing is charged unless you choose one.
Monthly and annual plans renew each month or year until you cancel. Lifetime is a single payment that never renews. The free trial comes before all three, so there is nothing to cancel if you decide not to buy.
What "lifetime" means. A single payment, no renewal, and you keep the version you purchased together with every update we release for it, for as long as we continue to offer Still Dock. It does not oblige us to develop the app forever, and it does not cover a different product if we ever release one.
You can cancel a subscription at any time. Your locks keep working until the period you have already paid for runs out; after that the app stops applying them and returns your Dock settings to how they were before. Deleting the app costs you nothing.
The trial carries no advertising. It is the paid app, for seven days, with nothing added to it. There is no ad SDK in either version, which is also what the privacy policy and our App Store privacy disclosure say, and those have to agree with this page.
Prices may change; a change never affects a period you have already paid for, and we will tell you before a renewal at a new price. Payment for direct subscriptions is processed by Stripe, and you are also subject to Stripe's terms for that transaction. App Store subscriptions are billed by Apple and managed in your Apple account settings.
What appears on your statement. Still Dock is published by Little Bird Trading LLC, so that is the name you will see on your card statement, and your receipts arrive from littlebirdtrading.com. It is us.
Payments are final. We do not refund part-used periods or lifetime purchases. Cancel a subscription and you simply keep access until the period ends. The free trial on annual plans exists so you can be sure before the first payment.
This does not affect any statutory refund right you have where you live, which we do not attempt to limit. And if the app is genuinely broken or does not do what this website says it does, write to hello@littlebirdtrading.com and we will put it right or refund you.
Mac App Store purchases are refunded by Apple under Apple's own policy, which we do not control.
We may release updates that fix problems, add features, or adapt to changes in macOS. Some updates may be needed for the app to keep working on newer versions of macOS. We may also stop developing the app; if we do, your licence to keep using the version you have continues.
We promise the app does what the website says it does, and we'll fix it if it doesn't.
Beyond that, and to the fullest extent the law allows, Still Dock is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will remain compatible with every future version of macOS.
Still Dock relies on macOS behaviour that Apple can change without notice. If a future version of macOS changes how the Dock works, some or all of the app's functions may stop working until we can adapt them.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use Still Dock.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you actually paid us for Still Dock in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You can end this agreement at any time by deleting the app; it restores your original Dock settings on the way out. We may end it if you materially breach these terms, for example by redistributing the app, in which case you must stop using it and delete it. Sections 8, 9 and 11 survive the agreement ending.
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the consumer protection law of your own country gives you rights that cannot be overridden by agreement, in which case those rights stand.
We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page, and we will not apply a material change retroactively to a purchase you have already made.
